Amroth, Taken From Port by a Violent Storm. Watercolor and ink on paper. 11X15". Amroth waited for his love, Nimrodel, to meet him by the sea so they could sail away into the Undying Lands together, but she never came. As Amroth waited, a violent storm ripped his tethered ship from port and out to sea. In madness driven by distress, Amroth leapt from his ship into the sea to swim back to the shore where he hoped to look or wait for Nimrodel forever.
